The Mosset Partnership Project

During 2024-25 we developed the vision of a landscape-scale biodiversity partnership in the Mosset catchment, focusing on the Sanquhar/Chapelton area of Forres. The partnership aims to build collaboration between local groups in the area - ourselves at Forres Friends, the Forres Community Woodland Trust, the Sanquhar Dam Restoration Group, and landowners Gordon and Macphail. All of the area is well used by the people of Forres for walking, cycling, bird watching etc.

We received funding from the Moray Climate Action Network, with the main output being an overview of the existing wildlife value of the area and the production of a draft biodiversity plan.
